How Big of a Threat is Pactian in Struggle of Time

Warning: spoilers for Battle of the Ages below!

Now that we know how much of a threat Hestatian is, let’s see how dangerous Pactian has become.

Pactian is now a level 8. This increase may come across as strange, since the Central Alliance is going to fall into Gelida’s clutches. But Pactian is actually better off than most in the Central Alliance. While he has done things he shouldn’t have, such as handing Emma over to Delitor. He did them reluctantly, and few bear him any ill-will as a result. He not only has seen the flaws in the Central Alliance, but is more willing to correct them. Therefore, when Gelida takes over, he stands a better chance of receiving help from enemies, than either his wife Bellona, or Justa.

There is also the matter that Pactian is now King of the Nerinians, a people who are more likely to go along with what he wants, than rebel. While it will take some time for the Nerinians to see Gelida as an enemy, her usurpation of both Pactian and Bellona’s power will not be seen favorably. Add to that Pactian’s negotiation skills, and he is more likely to unite the Nerinians with former enemies than anyone else.
