Why is Apathus a level 5? Well for one, despite the fact he is not Temporan, he is an important general in Delitor’s armies. Since Delitor puts more weight on ability rather than whether someone is Temporan or not, Apathus actually has political and military power on par with some Temporans. He isn’t much of a schemer, and he isn’t out for power in his own right, but he is capable of causing trouble when he feels the need. Ultimately, he is out to achieve the greatest possible good for the biggest number of people he can, even if that means teaming up with less than reputable characters. While he can’t use Temporan powers, he is nonetheless a good combatant in his own right, something Delitor encourages among his military leadership.
