At the Fantastic General Store, we employees stock three kinds of products: products that come in automatically, products that are sent to us by headquarters for a limited time, and products that we order ourselves. I personally prefer to order my own stock, as I can usually figure out how much of something I need, better than someone who isn’t in the store. But sometimes, despite my best efforts, items just don’t come in. I understand there are shortages, but when you are waiting for something for a year or longer, at what point does the shortage become a chronic outage? I know it’s not just my store either, as I see the communications between other stores looking for the same items. So where is the product? Did it vanish into thin air? Both princesses and their evil stepmothers get cranky when you can’t get them what they want for extended periods of time.
