The Significance of Names

Posted on January 4, 2019January 4, 2019 by admin

Have you ever noticed in fiction that the names of characters sometimes hold important meanings? These meanings can reflect a certain trait in the character, or even hint at future actions. Well my books follow the same pattern. A little clue to all my fellow theory-crafters out there, almost every name in The Temporan Chronicles is based in either Latin or Greek.

For example, Vivianna’s name ultimately comes from the Latin vivo which means life. I thought this was an appropriate name for her since she is a healer.

One of the few exceptions is Emma, and even her name probably has some sort of significance in these languages that I’m not aware of.

So what do the other names mean? List your guesses down below. You may come across some meanings I’m not even aware of.
