With The Healing Empress, coming out soon, I wanted to do a post about one of major nations of the series, The Kalarian Empire.
Kalare was originally just a kingdom like Achlys and Oreias. But for reasons unknown to most, it became more aggressive, and began conquering its neighbors. Its former allies, Achlys and Oreias, benefited from this, as they were able to take territory of their own through conquest or treaty. But eventually, these three came into conflict. Currently, only a few independent cities, like Kipos, remain outside the control of the three nations. But their independence is questionable. The Kalarian Empire is still bigger and stronger than the combined Kingdoms of Achlys and Oreias, so it naturally exerts more influence.
Kalare is known to be a nation of warm temperatures. Its national symbol is the sun, with red being its national color. The people tend to be tall with dark hair and eyes, though red heads aren’t uncommon either.
