With The Resentful Lady coming out April 2nd, I’m doing another post about one of the main characters in the novella, Damianos of Kalare.
Lord Damianos is a spy for Emperor Nikolos, and his closest friend. It was Damianos who originally burned the decorations for Roxanna’s coronation, all the way back in The Legacy of Kings. He also would have told Nikolos of King Elias’s death, leading to an earlier defeat for the Oreiasans, had the Lystra Gang not captured him first. He was released when the Kalarians captured the Oreiasan capital, as the Lystra Gang had handed him over to the Oreiasans. He then went undercover, infiltrating the Achlysian court, and almost succeeded in getting Theodoros and Estella captured. He is currently imprisoned by the Achlysians.
Damianos is tall with dark hair and dark eyes, like most Kalarians. His hair also has a reddish tint, which is an even strong hint of his Kalarian heritage. He is very patriotic, but he is more openminded than most Kalarians, which is make him so qualified to be a spy.
