At the Fantastic General Store, sometimes employees switch jobs within the company. Selling Cinderella’s brand of shoes isn’t for everyone, neither is selling Sleeping Beauty’s rose bushes. This seems like it should be an easy process of flipping a switch or two and being done with it. But no, sometimes you have to wait a couple of days, or even a week to get everything changed over. The wizards in IT aren’t as magical as they are reputed to be. This is a waste of precious training time, and may cause the employee to regret switching roles instead of switching companies. My point, make switching jobs as painless as possible. The employees will likely be better trained that way.
