At the Fantastic General Store, we have to close the stores in the evening. We aren’t 24-hour facilities. Headquarters doesn’t pay that kind of money, and even the mad scientists near some of our stores haven’t perfected a store that can run completely on machines. There has to be at least one sentient being to stock the snacks and clean up the messes. Same with anyone who claims to use magic. It can’t do everything. But some customers don’t seem to recognize the fact that we do have to close at some point during the day. We make announcements we are closing. Customers complain they feel hurried. We post hours at the front entrance of the store. Customers choose not to read them. So if you are a customer, pay attention to when closing is. Some of us don’t get paid past a certain point, and management gets yelled at if their employees go over a certain number of hours during the week. We all have lives outside of the store too.
