As with employees, training managers is important. An argument could be made training managers is even more important than employees, since the managers’ knowledge and behavior have a trickle-down effect on the customers. Prince Charming wants competent sales people just as much as the evil overlord. Managers need to know how to do each job that they are in charge of. Otherwise, how are they going to know their employees are doing what they are supposed to? Managers need to know how to treat employees, how to schedule, how to assign tasks, how to prioritize, and in some cases, even how to process payroll. These are useful skills for both aspiring heroes and villains. If any of these aspects fail, everyone in that department suffers. So make sure managers are well trained, or the whole store will have problems.
