At the Fantastic General Store, like at all retailers, we have schedules that have to be posted. Employees can’t be expected to come in if they don’t know their schedule. But there are some ground rules that need to be followed when it comes to making schedules. Schedules shouldn’t be changed within a two-week period, as that causes confusion and employees to show up at the wrong time. It isn’t always the prince fighting the dragon that causes employees to show up late. Schedules should be posted promptly, so employees can plan their days accordingly. Some of us have second jobs as bakers and candlestick makers, and need to know our availability. Employees should also have consistent schedules. Finally, employees shouldn’t be scheduled to cover areas they aren’t trained to handle. This is how you get villains attacking your store, both literally and through ratings.
